Elevation Acrobatics
Before your first class

Studio policies

How we keep classes safe, and what we ask of parents. Every family reads and accepts these once, on their account page, before booking.

Draft — awaiting review. This page has been written for Elevation Acrobatics but has not yet been checked by the studio or a legal adviser. Set policies_reviewed to true once it has, and this notice disappears.

Training at your own risk

Pole and aerial work is a physical sport. Every element is coached and spotted, and progressions only move on when the strength is there — but no physical activity is without risk, and children take part at their own risk.

If your child feels unwell, is injured, or is in pain, please keep them home or tell the coach before class. Anel may stop a child from attempting a skill at any time if she judges it unsafe.

Health and medical information

Add any medical condition, injury, allergy or medication to your child's details on your account. It goes straight onto the coach's register for every class your child is booked into, and nowhere else.

If your child uses an inhaler or other medication, please make sure it is in their bag.

Safety in the studio

Hair tied back, no jewellery, and no body lotion or oil on class day — skin needs to grip the pole. Bare feet for pole; leggings or longer shorts for hoop.

Children stay off the equipment until the coach says otherwise, and only use the poles and hoops during class time.

Bring a water bottle to every class.

Dropping off and collecting

Please arrive a few minutes before class and collect your child on time. The studio is responsible for children only during their booked class. Let us know in advance if someone else will be collecting.

Booking and cancelling

Something come up? Move a booking to another date from your account, free of charge, up to 24 hours before the class. Your payment moves with it.

Bookings and cancellations close 24 hours before a class. Cancel in time and it costs you nothing: a class paid with a credit gets its credit back, and a class paid online becomes a credit for another class.

Inside 24 hours the website can't book or cancel. WhatsApp Anel on 072 309 5646 — she can still book your child in, move them, or issue a credit at her discretion.

Leaving a waitlist is always free.

If the studio has to cancel a class, everyone booked gets a credit automatically.

Trial classes

The discounted trial class is one per family, not one per class.

Packages and credits

Package credits work on any class your child’s age fits, at either studio, until the expiry date shown on your account. Credits are not refundable in cash once they expire.

Photos

We only use photos of a child on the website or social media if their parent has said yes. You can change your answer at any time on your account page.

The registration and health waiver

When you accept the waiver on your account, you confirm each of these:

  • I understand that pole and aerial acrobatics are physical activities with an inherent risk of injury, and that my child takes part at their own risk.
  • I have told Elevation about any medical condition, injury or allergy my child has (in my child's details on this account), and I will update it if anything changes.
  • My child will follow the coach's instructions. I will drop off and collect on time, and understand the studio is responsible for my child only during their class.
  • I have read the studio policies, including that bookings and cancellations close 24 hours before a class.

And, only if you choose to:

  • Elevation may use photos or short videos of my child on its website and social media. (Optional — you can change this at any time.)
